Jerry Bush
Director

Jerry Bush Staff Photo 2020Jerry is the director of student media at the University of Tennessee where he has worked since 2015. He is originally from Illinois, and spent 18 years working in a variety of positions at the Daily Egyptian student newspaper at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.

Jerry has also taught a number of advertising classes. He earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in education from Southern Illinois University.

 

Austin Orr
Tech Coordinator

Austin Orr Headshot

Austin is the Tech Coordinator for the Office of Student Media. Prior this role, Austin supported the Office of Student Media during his undergraduate career from 2019-2022. His prior positions included host of weekly news show “The Weekly Wrap-Up,” Digital Producer for the Daily Beacon student newspaper and Multimedia Manager for the Office of Student Media as a whole. 

Austin graduated from the University with a bachelors degree in Communications Studies and is currently a student in the Digital and Strategic Communications masters program at UT. Austin has also worked with UT’s Office of Information Technology as a Production Assistant and Bowman Broadcasting in Tullahoma, Tennessee as a Creative Director.

Kylie Hubbard
Financial Associate I

Kylie is the Financial Associate I for the Office of Student Media where she has worked since 2021.
Kylie served as the Editor-in-Chief for the Daily Beacon during her undergraduate career from May 2018-December 2019.
Before returning to UT, Kylie worked in various freelance and contract positions helping nonprofit and small business organizations with digital strategies related to social media, email marketing and website design.
